Some people ask, "what's the most important thing about the law
of attraction?" And though it's really hard to chose one thing because
there are so many things that are important to the law of attraction
process, staying emotionally congruent is of paramount importance and
without that, you're bound to fail (or get mediocre results) while
attracting anything to you.
So, before we get too carried away, what is emotional congruence? Well, just like it sounds, it's to be emotionally aligned with something. What is the something? Well, your desire of course. So, emotional congruence, then, is to be emotionally congruent with your desire. In other words, to not waver your emotional stance on something because of how it feels in any given moment. For instance, many insecure people do this: they go out looking for someone to date (read: validate them), but meanwhile they consider all of the ways that they're not attractive. And when it comes time to meet other people, you don't really feel like your original goal, you feel like your secondary thought process about it-in other words, if you go out looking for love, but feel bad about yourself, you're very unlikely to convince anyone to feel good about you.
So, why would you want to stay emotionally congruent while studying the law of attraction? Hopefully, it's getting clearer by now; however, the most obvious secular reason is that it just plain feels better to stay emotionally congruent to your desires. It just plain sucks to want something and have absolutely no way to get it: there are few things that feel less lousy. And this is why people feel great when they're working on their goals-even people committing atrocities.
But for the serious law of attraction student, there is a very important reason to stay emotionally congruent: in every moment, you're attracting what you're dominantly thinking and feeling to you. If you're wishy-washy and jump back and forth between your desires and your insecurities, then you're asking the universe for both your desires and your insecurities. However, anyone who thinks about it for a little while probably doesn't want their insecurities-they want their desires.
Luckily for them, the universe is extremely just, and all one needs to do is diligently ask for their desires while believing they can accomplish their goals, stay determined to accomplish their desires and willing to preserve until they achieve their goal or die trying. Though he was a colonialist jerk, the story of Cortez is important here. He landed on what's now known as South America, and burned the boats he and his men sailed in on because as he told the men, they're not going back to Spain-they're here to conquer, and that's their one and only option. When you believe with that kind of vigor, imagine the power you hold... Cortez used it to almost commit a complete genocide, and though it's not the most politically correct example, it has very clear symbolism. Plus, imagine that same level of power used for good...
